April Veselko


Dance education and work:
April is a young dancer, performer and choreographer, who has been in love with contemporary dance from an early age. She has created several original projects under the production of Zavod Federacija and was selected as the resident artist for the Festival Nagib 2014. As a dancer she has worked with a variety of internationally renowned choreographers (Mattia Gandini, Snježana Premuš, Gregor Luštek, Eduardo Torroja, Barbara Kanc...). Throughout the years, April attended foreign and domestic dance festivals and workshops (PLI ImPulsTanz, B12 Berlin, IDW Budapest, Portugal Summer Intensive ...), this year she finished the international Dance's Start Up education in Bologna, Italy. For several years, April has participated in the contest of dance miniatures OPUS 1, and was awarded four times the prize for the best choreographic idea. April's dance style is based on the combination of energetic floor and vertical techniques of contemporary dance with elements of acrobatics.
